Expand Your Scope – Website Development & Upgrade Terms & Conditions
By submitting your project request through this form, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These policies ensure clarity, fairness, and smooth collaboration between both parties.
-
Scope of Work & Agreement
-
By submitting this form, you are requesting an initial project assessment and cost estimate based on the details you provide.
-
Once your request is received, I will review your requirements and email you a full breakdown of the project, including pricing, deliverables, and an estimated timeline.
-
Work will only begin after you confirm your acceptance of the proposal via email.
-
The scope of work will be outlined in your project proposal. If any additional services are required outside the agreed scope, they will be quoted and billed separately.
2. Pricing & Payment
-
The estimated pricing provided through this form is a preliminary estimate based on the information you provide. The final cost will be confirmed in your official quote.
-
Website development projects require 50% upfront payment before work begins, with the remaining 50% due upon completion before the final website is delivered.
-
Additional features, revisions beyond the included rounds, or expansions outside the initial scope will be quoted separately before implementation.
-
Payments are accepted via bank transfer, PayPal, or other specified methods (as detailed in your invoice).
-
Failure to make payments on time may result in project delays or suspension.
3. Revision Policy
-
Each website package includes up to 3 rounds of revisions at no additional charge.
-
Revisions include modifications to text, images, and minor layout adjustments based on initial feedback. They do not include major redesigns or significant structural changes.
-
All revision requests must be submitted in one document or email per round to maintain efficiency and prevent scope creep.
-
Additional revisions beyond the 3 included rounds will be charged at $65/hour or at a set per-revision-round fee, which will be communicated before proceeding.
-
Once the final revision round is completed and approved, any further changes will be treated as new work and billed separately.
4. Timelines & Delivery
-
Estimated project timelines are provided in your proposal and may vary based on project complexity and client responsiveness.
-
Timely feedback, content submission, and approvals from the client are essential to keeping the project on schedule.
-
Delays caused by the client (such as late content submissions, lack of communication, or extended feedback times) may result in adjusted delivery dates.
-
If a client is unresponsive for more than 14 days, the project may be put on hold. If unresponsive for more than 30 days, the project may be considered abandoned, and additional fees may apply to restart the work.
5. Client Responsibilities
-
The client is responsible for providing all necessary content, images, branding materials, and any relevant details required for the website’s completion.
-
If professional content creation (e.g., copywriting, graphic design, or stock image sourcing) is needed, it must be discussed and may incur additional costs.
-
The client is expected to review work at each stage and provide consolidated feedback within a reasonable timeframe to avoid project delays.
-
Expand Your Scope is not responsible for any legal issues related to website content (e.g., copyrighted images, incorrect information, or compliance issues). The client must ensure all provided materials are legally owned or licensed.
6. Cancellation & Refund Policy
-
If the client cancels the project before work has started, a full refund of any deposit paid will be issued.
-
If the client cancels after work has begun, the initial 50% payment is non-refundable, as it covers time, resources, and work already completed.
-
If the project is completed and delivered, no refunds will be issued.
-
If Expand Your Scope needs to cancel the project for any reason, a refund will be issued based on the amount of work completed at that time.
7. Ownership & Rights
-
Upon final payment, the client owns all rights to the completed website design, content, and assets.
-
Until full payment is received, all work remains the intellectual property of Expand Your Scope (Drew Evans).
-
Expand Your Scope reserves the right to showcase the completed website in portfolios, marketing materials, and case studies unless a confidentiality agreement is in place.
8. Website Maintenance & Support
-
After project completion, the client is responsible for ongoing maintenance, updates, and management of the website unless a maintenance package is agreed upon.
-
If support is required after the website has been handed over, additional fees may apply depending on the nature of the request.
-
Expand Your Scope is not responsible for third-party updates, hosting failures, security breaches, or software conflicts that occur after delivery.
9. SEO & Structured Data Implementation
-
Basic SEO setup includes meta tag descriptions, social share settings, and structured markup implementation to help Google and other search engines properly read and index the site’s content.
-
SEO work does not guarantee immediate or specific ranking results, as search engine algorithms are dynamic and dependent on various external factors.
-
If advanced SEO services (such as in-depth keyword research, backlink building, or content marketing) are required, they will be quoted separately.
10. Acceptance & Agreement
-
By checking the box in the form and submitting it to ExpandYourScope, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
